It was a beautiful Saturday morning and as she walked through the doors, the tears filled her eyes. I think it hit us both at that moment this whole thing was real. We were really there, standing smack in the middle of Shannon’s simple, elegant & neutral baby shower and all of our hopes and dreams were coming true. If you know me, you know I’ve longed for this day for a long time. Shannon is my older sister yet I became a mother many, many years before her. My oldest will be 9 this summer, my middle child will be 6 and I’m about to welcome a new baby into the world. Shannon, on the other hand, likes to take things slow and the wait has been so worth it.

Sweet Max is due within the next few weeks and the thought of meeting my nephew still gives me chills. I am blessed with a nephew, two nieces and now two more nephews on the way (including Max), and there’s nothing more rewarding than being an Aunt and loving on each of them.
The Inspiration:
If you know Shannon well, then you know she’s drawn to simplicity, clean lines and all things white. I was a little nervous going into the design process while planning her baby shower because I tend to be bolder, and I wanted everything to be just the way she imagined it. She sent me one single photo to help with inspiration as I began planning for her baby shower and my jaw dropped and my design wheels began to turn.

The Invitation:
I knew as I dived into the design process that there were some decisions I wanted Shannon to have a say in and some I wanted to be left a secret. The invitation for her simple, elegant & neutral baby shower was one of the items I needed her approval for. It’s so weird flying solo when I’m used to having her beside me to make the decisions for all of our events. Luckily, I feel like I know her pretty well, so I chose a handful of invitations for her to select from.
The Winner:
Simple, Elegant & Neutral Baby Shower:
Shopping for all the decor was one of my favorite parts. I set out on a mission to find pieces that she could use in her animal themed nursery. From Hobby Lobby to Amazon, I was able to find the perfect pieces to style down the center of the long feasting tables.
Alright, enough descriptions! I can’t keep you waiting any longer! Here is the final set up of Shannon’s simple, elegant & neutral baby shower!
The Mom-To-Be:
The day was very special & so BEAUTIFUL…the decorations, the food ( oh that cake!! ) & the weather were perfect! Jenna did a wonderful job pulling it all together.
Mom-to-be Shannon was radiant!! Her family & friends loved socializing & celebrating with her!
