As the endless Summer slowly fades into Fall here in the Sunshine state, we are especially ready for the change of seasons this year. While we don’t get much of a Fall outdoors (our leaves do not transform from shades of green to vibrant autumnal colors and the temperature remains noticeably hot), we are celebrating the shift with seasonal decor in our homes and incorporating the flavors of Fall into our prepared dishes. After all, we cannot think of Fall without thinking of gathering. It’s the perfect time to slow down and share meaningful moments at the table. It’s a season synonymous with hearty meals and cozy evenings. Furthermore, it’s a simple reminder to embrace the present and reconnect with ourselves and others. With all of that in mind, we created an intimate Fall tablescape this year to welcome the change and to encourage you to invite loved ones to gather ’round.

There is no right or wrong way to set an intimate Fall tablescape. Ultimately, that’s because the things set atop are not what truly matters. Instead, it’s the people who surround it that do. So, it is our hope to inspire you to focus less on the pretty details and more on the people you invite to gather. The time you spend together is precious and the moments you share may be fleeting, but the memories will last a lifetime.
As you set your table this season, we encourage you to cultivate a comforting space and to look around your home for ways to incorporate decor you already have on hand. Do you already own a Fall-inspired throw blanket or scarf that may be tucked away since last year? Retrieve them from their safe place and try using either as a table runner for a textural look. Do you have a stash of taper candles you’ve been saving for a special occasion? Dust them off and display them throughout your tablescape. Better yet, make it a point to light them during dinner for a warm and intimate feel. Is the foliage outdoors turning into splendid shades of Fall? Forage for the perfect stems to showcase throughout your centerpiece.
And if you’re not sure where to begin when it comes to setting an intimate Fall tablescape, we’ve got you covered. For every season and every holiday, we design new tablescapes so it’s one less thing you have to plan while hosting. This way you can focus more on what truly matters – your people.
Simply use our designs as a guide to setting your own tablescape. Shop your home for similar items you already own, shop this post for the exact items we used, or use the images as inspiration to shop for similar items at your favorite retailers. Invest in pieces you can use throughout the year (think neutrals and solids) and only incorporate what speaks to your heart. Be intentional with your space and those you invite to share it with. Make it a point to be present during your gathering rather than striving to be perfect.
