The weather is getting cooler and pumpkin patches are popping up on every corner–there’s no denying that fall is here! This week, Shannon is giving us a tour of her home to show how she’s welcomed the season. From warm textures to moody colors, you’ll see how timeless decor choices can keep you enjoying the season for months to come.

Shannon’s entry way invites fall (and you!) into her home with layered textures and moody colors. One of Shannon’s favorite design tips for enjoying your decor for the full season is simple: avoid holiday-specific decor and decor with words. By creating a timeless environment, you can enjoy your hard work long after a holiday has passed.
Across from her console table, Shannon created a functional and stylish drop zone for family and guests alike. Using APIARY’s Rattan Hanging Wall Basket, Shannon was able to bring in a bit of nature with seasonal dried florals. A cozy Melange Wool and Cotton Slub Throw adds softness to the area in a neutral color.
Hostful Hack No. 31: Make a first impression. Wipe down your front door and sweep off your front porch. This is a simple way to greet your guests and make an inviting first impression.

We covered the step-by-step details of creating Shannon’s fall tablescape in last week’s reveal. After living with the tablescape for a bit, Shan loves how the neutral textures of her tablescape create so many options for seasonal accent colors. More specifically, the combination of the Dried Buri Palm Garland and Woven Wool Blend Plaid Runner are bringing lots of joy!
When choosing your accent colors for fall decor, look to nature: we love to incorporate dark-skinned fruit and dried foliage in designs to bring in natural colors.

Shelves are for so much more than storage! Shannon styled her shelves with a variety of decor to emphasize fall colors and varied texture.
Function meets beauty with the seasonal touches incorporated into Shannon’s kitchen. Warm wood tones bring a warmth to her kitchen and botanicals (dried and framed) bring in a natural element without getting in the way.
Hostful Hack No. 11: Use a scrap bowl. Keep a bowl or bag on the counter to collect food scraps and trash while cooking.
