Jenna’s Dining Room

Jenna’s dining room perfectly captures the fall season by incorporating soft textures–like APIARY’s Braided Pom Pom Woven Cotton Throw – Dijon and Woven Jute and Cotton Fringed Placemat–that invite you to sit down and stay a while.
Hostful Hack No. 42: Make it cozy. Add extra throw pillows and blankets to your seating areas to encourage guests to get comfortable and curl up.

Jenna’s Fall Tablescape

This fall, Jenna created a deconstructed centerpiece for her dining room table. With APIARY’s Water Hyacinth Baskets with Leather Handles and some beautiful faux foliage in a deep, moody burgundy, Jenna crafted a statement piece that can easily be moved. The smooth shine of the Hand-Forged Antique Brass Taper Holders contrasts beautifully with the organic textures of the basket and brings in another source of light. Lastly, Jenna layers the Hand-Carved Woven Leather Handle Salad Servers on top of the Ivory Fringe Linen Dinner Napkins nestled inside of the Speckled Cream Stoneware Serving Bowl. And just like that, you have a cohesive fall centerpiece that’s ready for your loved ones.
Hostful Hack No. 37: Build layers. Incorporate layers of varying textures, patterns, and colors throughout a tablescape design to add visual interest. Layering entertaining essentials, table linens, and decorative accents throughout your table decor will help make the design look more complex and sophisticated.

Jenna’s Shelving

Styling your shelving can always be a tricky task. We recommend creating a zig-zag or triangle pattern with shapes to keep the eye moving. In the same vein, we also love repeating textures on shelves to give the design an intentional look and feel. Lastly, pay attention to the shapes of what you’re styling and make sure those also create movement through staggered placement.

Hostful Hack No. 47: Smell. Greet guests with scented, seasonal candles/oils as they enter each room. Just remember to set them high if you’ll have little ones running around!

Jenna’s Living Room

In her living room, Jenna pulled in the colors and textures of fall to compliment her existing decor. Dark florals, wood tones, and plush textiles are all hallmarks of the fall season and they blend together to create a harmonious ambiance.

Hostful Hack No. 49: Touch. Be sure to have extra throw pillows and blankets in the areas you plan to lounge, so you’re guests can cozy right up! It will encourage everyone to sit back, relax, and enjoy your time together.
