Ever wonder what items are needed in the kitchen to be prepared for hosting? A set of White Platters, Serving Utensils and a good-sized Salad Bowl. Today, we’re sharing one of our favorite DIY Glass Salad Bowls! The Glass Salad Bowls are also great to serve popcorn on a family movie night, Chex Mix at a birthday party or your favorite pasta dish for family-style dining.

We painted and designed these DIY Glass Salad Bowls at The Hostful Hive’s March Workshop, and we promise, this workshop will be coming back again sometime soon because it was such a hit! We loved seeing our attendees get creative by mixing paint palettes, overlapping colors/designs and just having fun with their designs. Take a look below!
The Workshop:
The Craft – DIY Glass Salad Bowls:
SUPPLIES:
Large Glass Salad Bowl
Green, Eggplant, Soft Jade, Gold, Wild Salmon Multi-Surface Paints
Before beginning, use an alcohol wipe to clean the glass salad bowl’s surface. Once the surface is dry, begin placing painters tape on the glass salad bowl to create geometric shapes.
Using a foam paintbrush, paint each taped section a different paint color. Be sure to use light coats of paint to avoid paint from going under the tape.
Once the area is painted, remove painters tape and use a wet paper towel to clean up lines and/or any mistakes.
DIY Glass Salad Bowls that are Dishwasher Safe:
Air cure for four days. Place the Glass Salad Bowl in a non-preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool with the door open.
***Ensure that your glass bowl is OVEN SAFE!!! If you are not sure, do not place the glass bowl in the oven as it may burst or shattr and cause harm.***
Fill with your favorite salad recipe and serve at your next gathering!
