Our business and blog proves that not much has changed over the years because we get the opportunity to live out our childhood dreams and all that our imaginations could create here in this little corner of the internet. There was a time when two little girls would pretend to host a crafting show and now here we are, teaching you how to DIY Leather Clutches in another homemade studio – just older and wiser – but still the same two girls with passion and creativity in their hearts.

Our Grandparents live in South Florida and every year we’d spend the long school breaks with them and they always encouraged us to use our imaginations while in their home. It didn’t take much convincing after asking our Nana and Pop if we could turn their back porch into our own personal crafting studio to help pass the time. Nana’s garage was always full of crafting supplies, and we’d shop around for all the supplies needed. She loved videotaping crafting shows on HGTV for us to watch and then we’d set out on a mission to recreate each show and host our own crafting show to our invisible audience. Little did we know back then that we were setting ourselves up for our own personal YouTube Channel.
When it comes to crafting, we’re always thinking of end-products that can serve multiple purposes, so while planning our Friendsgiving Tablescape, we knew we wanted to incorporate something that could serve as a Menu, Placecard, and Favor for our guests. And there’s always a plus if it’s affordable, quick and easy! Enter DIY Leather Clutches using the Cricut.
We were first introduced to the Cricut by our Nana. That comes as no surprise as she was the one we always crafted with! We instantly fell in love with her first Cricut (way back when) because it worked much quicker than cutting out letters by hand or using her letter puncher from her teaching days and it created clean lines with ease.
Today, our Cricut Explore One can do so much more than that first generation Cricut, and we had so much fun working with leather!
