Toast from the Host’s Best Cocktail and Mocktail #HostfulHacks
Every Thursday we cheers to the week with #thirstythursday cocktails/mocktails. A few of my cocktail hacks every host(ess) needs to know are:
-
Short on time? Chill your wine bottles with salt and ice – the ice lowers the freezing point of water so your wine will be cool in 8 minutes or less!
-
Looking for a sweetener for your custom cocktail/mocktail? Try marmalade or jam! It not only adds a touch of sweetness but gives a great flavor to your beverage. Muddle on the bottom of your glass or add to your shaker and strain before serving.
*Pro Tip – Twirl Cotton Candy is also a great flavor enhancer to your drinks plus they add a fun and whimsical look to your glass!
-
Leftover wine? Make your own wine simple syrup to use as a topper for a fruit salad, ice cream or sorbet or for your next fancy drink. Just add equal parts sugar and wine and simmer on low heat until it becomes a syrup texture.
