While the journey of The Busy Bee has grown and evolved over the years, we know where it all started: our grandmothers. Mother’s Day is coming up quickly and we’ve been reflecting on how blessed we are to have Mimi and Nana in our lives, constantly being an example of how to embrace family and friends with open arms and hearts. They’re the inspiration for our #hostfulhacks that show easy ways to make hosting and entertaining simple and doable. And, importantly, they’ve shown us how to be present and balanced hostesses, who feel a sense of ease as we open our doors to loved ones.
With our grandmothers as our inspiration, we’ve designed a Mother’s Day Tablescape Made With Love, using timeless and beautiful items from APIARY’s Spring Summer Collection 2021.

The Takeaway on a Simple Mother’s Day Tablescape
As we began to design this tablescape, we thought to ourselves, “What do we most want to receive as mothers or to give to the mothers in our lives who do so much for others?” For us, we immediately thought of simplicity and ease. As mothers ourselves, we know the day-to-day life of a mom is often one of endless running around, checking things off to-do lists, and caring for others around her. Motherhood is beautiful, but it is often messy and chaotic too. And so, we focused on bringing in subtle beauty and simplicity to our Mother’s Day Tablescape to capture what the holiday is really all about: allowing mothers to relax and enjoy their loved ones.
This core philosophy of ours extends into The Busy Bee’s larger mission, as well. Hosting loved ones and gathering around our tables shouldn’t be a source of stress or overwhelm. It shouldn’t be marred by negativity or fear of imperfection. Instead, let’s rethink how we go about preparing for and gathering with the people who matter most, and let ease and simplicity triumph over your doubts.
